Builders Marketplace receives £35,000 in funding.
Timber and builders’ merchant Builders Marketplace supply private and trade customers with structural timber, sheet materials, fencing, insulation, doors, and mouldings. They use partner couriers, haulier, and pallet delivery companies to deliver goods anywhere in Essex on the same day (if they are ordered before 1 pm).
Initially, the team needed to run many manual calculations to give 3rd party carriers instructions to deliver to their customers. Determined to grow the business, they realised they needed to find a more efficient solution and identified a system that would automate their logistics function. Through the TALE (Transport and Logistical Efficiencies) programme Builders Marketplace was awarded £35,000 grant funding for their new system.
The team at Builders Marketplace said:
“We wish to thank the TALE team for their assistance with the completion of our project. It has transformed our logistical operations whilst allowing us to reach a significantly broader number of customers with an increasing portfolio of products.”
