Long-standing logistics specialist Anchor Freight is preparing for a significant new chapter as it relocates to a newly refurbished warehouse and office facility in Ipswich later this month.

The company, which has been operating since 1997 and has offices in Glasgow, Leeds, and Dover, is now finalising its new premises at Olympus Close, Ipswich. The site has undergone extensive redevelopment recently, including structural upgrades, internal reconfiguration, and external enhancements designed to support Anchor Freight’s growing operations. Final painting, racking, and layout work are now in progress ahead of the team’s planned move-in date in late November.

The relocation forms part of a broader investment programme within the business, which also includes a complete brand refresh and the launch of a redesigned website, headed by Managing Director Alex Davies. The updated identity aims to reflect Anchor Freight’s evolution in recent years and its emphasis on providing flexible, customer-focused logistics solutions across sea, air, and road freight.

General Manager Jerry Fowler said the move represents a significant step forward for the organisation.

“This is a genuinely positive milestone for the business,” he said. “The new warehouse provides us with increased capacity, better efficiencies, and the space to support our customers’ needs as they continue to expand. The site will be fully bonded and ETSF-approved, and will operate with an all-electric plant.

“It also provides the team with a fantastic working environment. Along with our new branding and online presence, it feels like the start of the next chapter for Anchor Freight – building on our roots while confidently looking ahead.”
