Astral Global Logistics Boosts Transport Department

Daniel Dempsey and Mark Walsh reunite at the Felixstowe-based supply chain specialist.

With its container transport services department busier than ever, Astral Global Logistics (AGL) has welcomed Daniel Dempsey to the team.

Following a successful 12-year period at one of the UK’s leading hauliers, Daniel is again working with his former colleague Mark Walsh, having joined the freight forwarder and supply chain management specialist late last year in the role of UK Transport Supervisor.

AGL’s UK Transport Manager Mark Walsh says: “Whilst AGL’s reputation is in freight forwarding, increasingly our independently run transport department is supporting the needs of external customers, be it other hauliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines or distribution centres.

“Daniel and I offer over 40 years of experience in the business. And, despite making us feel our age, it is this experience and transparency that clients appreciate and what delivers the peace of mind that their consignments are in safe and capable hands.”

Mark and Daniel’s mission for 2023 is to grow the transport side of AGL’s service portfolio by offering the expertise and infrastructure to deliver everything expected of a haulier. Daniel adds: “We’re a team that knows our industry inside out, coupled with a trustworthy and loyal reputation, and we can deliver whatever the requirement. Now it’s all about spreading the word that we are very much open for business.”

Astral Global Logistics container transport services cover all major UK ports and specialise in import and export loads. Utilising 44-tonne vehicles together with its trusted partners, it offers end-to-end supply chain solutions at competitive rates.
