elite universal successfully implements verso waves

Felixstowe-based freight forwarder and logistics provider Elite Universal has adopted Verso Waves as its new freight forwarding software platform.

The investment gives Elite Universal a modern system that enables its team to manage forwarding activity end-to-end, brings key information together, and provides greater visibility and control across the company.

When selecting the software, Elite Universal prioritised effective job management, optimised billing, ease of use and flexibility. Working with a software company with a clear vision for technology and innovation was also high on the agenda.

Commenting on the decision, Mel Pipe, joint owner and director of Elite Universal, said: “Changing a core operational system is a major decision. We needed not only technology our team could work with confidently from day one, but also a technology partner to support the company into the future.

“Verso Waves took the time to understand our operation and what we wanted to achieve. Its combination of sector knowledge, functionality and collaborative approach gave us confidence that it was the right choice for Elite Universal.”

The platform went live across Elite Universal’s operation on 1 August, following a carefully planned migration. Both teams worked closely to prepare employees for the change and to maintain continuity throughout the process.

Mitch Melanaphy, general manager at Elite Universal, highlighted the early benefits for his team: “The team settled into Verso Waves quickly. It is straightforward to navigate, information is easy to find, and we can manage our day-to-day work efficiently.

“Verso Waves supported us closely throughout the change and was responsive whenever we needed guidance. We now have a system that brings our activity together and gives us a clearer view of each job.”

Developed specifically for freight forwarders, Verso Waves simplifies end-to-end management, supports optimised billing, and connects operational activity within a single platform.

Its modular structure enables the software to be tailored to different workflows and adapted as requirements evolve.

Jon Wood, managing director of Verso Waves, added: “A successful system change depends on combining the right technology with careful preparation, open communication and a shared commitment from everyone involved.

“Every freight forwarder operates differently, which is why adaptability is built into Verso Waves. Our first-hand understanding of the sector helps us recognise the practical challenges our customers face and tailor the platform to how they work.

“Mel, Mitch and the wider team approached the project with a clear sense of what they needed. We are delighted to welcome them to Verso Waves and look forward to building on this strong start.”
