Fantastic Fairway Fundraiser

The Elite Golf Day raises over £3,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Logistics Elite Golf Day at Felixstowe Ferry Golf Club went down a blast on Friday, 28th July.

Mel Pipe, director at the Felixstowe- based freight company, says: “With the focus on enjoyment and entertainment, we had a bumper 21 teams playing on the day, representing a great mix from the logistics industry, local Suffolk and Essex businesses and FFGC members.

“An inaugural event for us, we’re delighted to have raised over £3,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support in support of Goldstar Transport’s James Sayers. The funds will be handed over to the charity in the next week when the final monies have been collected. The event had limited sponsorship, so this impressive total is down to the generosity of all who attended.”

With all involved already thinking about next year’s golf day, Mel continues: “Already we have plans for making next year bigger and better. But in the meantime, we need to thank many people, as the day wouldn’t have been possible without them. Our thanks go to Jerry Fowler, Richard BannisterCarl DayCalum Barker, Patrick Lewis, Ben Tawell, Glenn Rayfield, Felixstowe and Walton Utd Football Club and the Elite Universal team.”
