With Multimodal 2025 now less than a month away (17-19 June), this year’s conference programme addresses the pressing issues currently impacting logistics and supply chain management.

Organised in collaboration with leading industry bodies, including Logistics UK, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), the British International Freight Association (BIFA), and the UK Warehousing Association (UKWA), the programme ensures that discussions are both topical and delivered by top-level speakers.

Robert continues: “Sustainability remains a central theme, with sessions exploring new environmental standards and requirements, including the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). These discussions are crucial as businesses navigate the complexities of implementing greener practices in their operations.

“The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into logistics is another focal point of this year’s conference. An exciting new addition for this year is AI Clinics, featuring interactive sessions and personalised consultations. These clinics offer attendees practical advice on how AI can transform their business operations, with experts from Problems Solved providing straightforward answers to specific AI-related challenges.

“But digital transformation extends beyond AI. Google Digital Garage is generously hosting three days of social and digital marketing sessions. These sessions, coupled with one-to-one mentoring opportunities, aim to enhance digital skills across the supply chain, recognising that digital proficiency is vital at all levels of the industry.”

Addressing the human element of today’s logistics industry, the conference also highlights initiatives like Generation Logistics, an industry-led, government-backed campaign aimed at attracting a diverse range of talent into the logistics sector. By focusing on people, the programme highlights the importance of workforce development and the need to future-proof the profession, ensuring the resilience of the UK’s supply chains.
