Logistics calls for urgent response

The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Road Freight and Logistics has today launched its new inquiry into the impact of fuel duty.

The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Road Freight and Logistics has today launched its new inquiry into the impact of fuel duty on road freight and logistics businesses.

The Group is calling for industry responses from freight and logistics businesses, as rising fuel prices and inflation continue to place huge financial pressures on UK businesses and is inviting key stakeholders to respond to the inquiry by filling out the Group’s online survey.

What happens next?
Two evidence sessions will take place in May looking at the issues:

May 16: The UK focused session for hauliers: RHA Policy Director, Duncan Buchanan, will be giving evidence.

May 17: An international session for EU and Rest of the World hauliers – looking at how freight movements are taxed differently in other countries.
