Martello Transport Accelerates Fleet Renewal with Focus on a Greener FutureThe first phase sees the arrival of new fuel-efficient trucks as the logistics leader drives down emissions and invests in a greener future.
Martello Transport Ltd is proudly driving forward its commitment to sustainability with the launch of an ambitious fleet renewal programme. This marks a significant investment in the future of its operations and the planet.
The programme is already underway, with the first three of 25 brand-new, fuel-efficient trucks joining the fleet. Over the coming months, Martello will progressively replace its older, less efficient vehicles, significantly enhancing its environmental performance and reinforcing its reputation as a forward-thinking, responsible logistics provider.
The new trucks, including the latest Volvo FH460 6×2 tractor units, feature I-Save technology and deliver industry-leading improvements in fuel economy, aerodynamics, and driver comfort. By investing in these state-of-the-art vehicles, Martello Transport is dramatically reducing its carbon footprint, cutting CO₂ emissions, and lowering the environmental impact of its operations.
Fleet Manager Philip Cotterill commented, “This fleet upgrade is a pivotal step for Martello. Introducing these greener trucks ensures that we continue to deliver exceptional service while doing our part for the environment. Replacing our older models with new, fuel-efficient Volvos is a real game-changer in terms of sustainability.”
Commercial Manager Mark Walsh added, “Our customers increasingly value logistics partners actively working towards a greener future. This fleet renewal underlines our commitment to offering cost-effective, reliable, and environmentally responsible solutions.”
Supplied by long-term partner Volvo Truck and Bus Centre South & East, the new vehicles set a higher standard for Martello’s service delivery and support broader industry efforts to make road transport cleaner and more sustainable.
As Martello Transport’s new trucks hit the road, the company is setting a powerful example of how investing in greener technology today paves the way for a cleaner, smarter future tomorrow.
