Martin Page joins Tide Worldwide as Warehouse Manager

Experienced industry leader bolsters Tide’s operations.

Tide Worldwide has reinforced its warehousing and distribution division by appointing Martin Page as Warehouse Manager. With nearly four decades of experience in logistics and warehouse operations, Martin’s leadership will enhance efficiency, team development, and service capabilities.

Martin joins Tide Worldwide after a distinguished 34-year career at Debach, where he progressed from general operative to warehouse manager at their Ipswich facility. Prior to that, he spent three years at Anglo Italian, a warehousing company later acquired by Debach. His extensive hands-on experience in warehouse operations, team management, and supply chain coordination makes him a valuable addition to the Tide team.

In his new role, Martin is responsible for overseeing daily operations, stock control, and order fulfilment, ensuring the smooth receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. He will also focus on refining warehouse processes, optimising Tide’s distribution network, and maintaining full compliance.

A key priority for Martin is strengthening Tide’s warehouse team, ensuring it evolves in line with the company’s growth. He will lead recruitment, training, and development efforts, fostering a motivated and skilled workforce that delivers high service levels.

As part of his remit, Martin will review Tide’s end-to-end warehouse processes, driving improvements in efficiency, safety standards, and compliance. He will oversee the company’s use of Mintsoft, Tide’s Warehouse Management System (WMS), to streamline fulfilment operations and enhance service delivery. Additionally, he will implement improvements in health and safety, first aid, and fire safety protocols, ensuring staff well-being and adherence to industry standards.

Martin’s appointment enables Tide to further invest in workforce training and upskilling. Managing Director and Founder of Tide Worldwide, Matt Watkins, commented,

“Martin’s wealth of experience will be invaluable as we strengthen our warehouse and yard operations. He joins us to support our supervisor, Mark Linney, who came to us from local warehouse provider Shield Shipping Ltd.

With Martin’s AITT accreditation, we can further develop our team through daily training, enhancing their skills on our current equipment while preparing for future expansions. This investment in staff development strengthens our capabilities and allows us to enhance the services we offer our clients.”

The Tide Group, including Tide Shipping Ltd, Tide Warehousing Ltd, and Tide Transport Ltd, offers clients the flexibility to use its services as an integrated solution or as standalone offerings. With Martin at the helm of warehouse operations, Tide is well-positioned to build on its reputation for excellence in warehousing and distribution, ensuring customers receive efficient and reliable service as the company expands.
