Multimodal Awards 2024 – Your Chance To Shine

Porttalk shares why it’s such a good idea to enter the Multimodal Awards and details all you need to know to make a submission.

With bookings for the June exhibition going through the roof this year, event director Robert Jervis says: “The Multimodal awards are one of the fairest industry awards. With peers of those nominated or self-nominated selecting the winners in the modal categories and industry experts taking on the other judging, it ensures that winning a Multimodal award is a genuinely independent endorsement of a company’s excellence. It is then left to the team here to decide on whom to extol the award of Multimodal Exhibitor of the Year and Multimodal Personality of the Year.”

The Modal Awards
There are six modal awards recognising companies’ excellence in:

• Air
• Road
• Rail
• Sea
• Port
• Freight Forwarding

Nominated either by the company itself or by another, entries are voted for by the thousands of readers of the Multimodal newsletter, exhibitors, and show visitors.

The nomination and voting process is now open, and nominations close on 29 March. Finalists will be announced on 9 April, when voting commences. Voting will close on 24 May, and winners will be announced at the Awards evening on 11 June. To enter the modal awards, click here.

The Judged Awards
In this section, there are seven categories.

• Shipper/partner
• Sustainability
• Young Logistics Professoinal
• Technology Company
• Best warehouse operation
• Customs Technology Partner
• Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

With each category scored against a different set of criteria, following entry requirements to the letter increases the chance of success.

A short-written submission is required for awards in this section, and a panel of industry experts independently judges all submissions. The deadline for entries is 1st May. Finalists are announced on 6th May, and winners are announced at the Awards evening on 11th June.
