Tide Transport expands fleet as growth continues

Fleet expansion strengthens Tide Worldwide’s logistics offering.

Tide Transport Ltd, part of Tide Worldwide, is continuing its steady growth just 18 months after launching.

The transport division was established in January 2024, with former JDM driver Ben Locke joining the new operation. The company’s first tractor unit was purchased from Stu Bones at Port Express Limited, alongside trailers from Aaron Dorrington at Seven Group.

Tide has now confirmed two further Volvo trucks will join the fleet before the end of the year, supplied through Volvo Used Trucks and Karl Love.

Managing Director and Founder of Tide Worldwide, Matt Watkins, said:
“When we launched Tide Transport, we aimed to build a sustainable, customer-focused business that complements our wider Tide Worldwide services. The support we’ve had from both customers and local industry contacts has been fantastic, and the arrival of two more trucks marks another important milestone for us. None of this would have been possible without the loyalty of our customers, and we’re grateful for their continued trust in Tide.”

Tide Transport has sustainability at the core of its expansion plans, with a strong focus on building long-term customer relationships. It forms part of the wider Tide Group, which includes Tide Shipping Ltd, Tide Warehousing Ltd, and Tide Transport Ltd. Together, the group offers clients a comprehensive logistics solution – from shipping and warehousing to transport – with the flexibility to use services as a fully integrated package or as standalone offerings.
