As the logistics and supply chain industry gears up for Multimodal 2025, the event organisers have officially revealed the businesses shortlisted as finalists for the prestigious Modal section of the Awards.

Celebrating outstanding achievements across the air, road, rail, maritime, and freight sectors, voting for this year’s Multimodal Awards opened earlier than ever, giving the industry more time to have its say.

With the awards recognised as an independent stamp of excellence for businesses and individuals across the supply chain, event director Robert Jervis says: “The Multimodal Awards have always been popular, so opening the nomination process early allowed even more organisations to submit their nominations. We ensure that businesses of all sizes are represented and use an independent nomination and voting system, so that all those shortlisted can be proud of their nomination. The Awards are the highlight of Multimodal, and a big thank you goes to our headline sponsor, Logistics UK, for enabling the industry to come together to celebrate outstanding performance.”

The Modal Awards are unique in that all nominations and votes come directly from event attendees, exhibitors, visitors, and readers of the Multimodal newsletter, ensuring that authentic industry voices drive the results.

This year’s finalists, who span six key categories, have now been confirmed and will be celebrated at the June event.

Voting for the finalists is now open. All votes must be cast by 23rd May.

In addition to the voted categories, seven prestigious Judged Awards were open for entry via written nominations. With a record number of entries received, these Awards are carefully assessed by an independent panel of industry experts, ensuring fairness and credibility. Judging is now underway, with finalists set to be announced in early May before being put forward to the expert judging panel for final evaluation.

The Judged Awards cover a wide range of achievements across the sector and include:

• Sustainability Company of the Year
• Best Warehouse Operation of the Year
• Technology Company of the Year
• Young Logistics Professional of the Year
• Shipper/Partner of the Year
• Diversity, equity and inclusion Company of the Year
• Customs Technology Company of the Year

Finally, there are two Multimodal Judged Awards, selected by the organisers. They are the Multimodal Exhibitor of the Year and the Multimodal Personality of the Year.

“The winners of all categories will be revealed at our glittering Awards ceremony on the evening of 17th June, straight after day one of the Multimodal Exhibition,” says event director Robert Jervis.

“We are also thrilled to welcome Martin Bayfield – a regular contributor to BT Sports rugby coverage and co-presenter for many years of BBC’s Crimewatch as host for the evening. Multimodal 2025 will take place from June 17 to 19 at the NEC, bringing together the supply chain and logistics communities under one roof. Entry is free, and tickets can be booked now. Visitors can look forward to conference sessions across four theatres, which will include slots from Multimodal, Logistics UK, UKWA, RFG, CILT, RHA, and the IOE&IT.
