Multimodal Award finalists’ reactions

With the front runners of the awards announced, the innovation and pioneering spirit of the logistics industry shines through.

Porttalk catches up with some of those companies hoping to win on the night.

Double finalists, The Swain Group, are nominated in both the 3PL of the Year and Road Freight Company categories. Matthew Deer, group managing director, says: “To receive a nomination for an award is always a fantastic recognition for our services. Multimodal is an important event in the logistics calendar, and we are delighted that the Swain Group has been nominated in two prestigious categories this year. Road freight operator and 3PL are awards we would be proud to be associated with. The Swain Group are clearly gaining recognition for our solutions and our approach, and we very much look forward to the outcome of the public vote.”

GB Railfreight is nominated as a finalist in the Rail Freight Company of the Year award. Intermodal general manager Julie Garn comments: “Being shortlisted in the Multimodal Awards 2022 recognises our amazing team’s hard work, dedication, and expertise, all of whom are committed to outstanding customer service and innovation. We are very much looking forward to next month’s awards evening.”

As winners of last year’s Multimodal Technology Company of the Year Award, Fargo Systems is proud to be in the running once again. With the company’s recent restructuring, new managing director Steve Collins says: “This is great news for us and is that bit more special as Fargo Systems celebrates its 20th anniversary. We are acutely aware that nothing can be taken for granted and wish all our fellow nominees the best of luck.”
